Plop Star is an essential oil-based bathroom deodorizer tablet founded by Tyler Jay owner of Tandem Inc. Plop Star first appeared in the Shark Tank Season 11 Episode 4 and impressed all the judges with their product Plop Star.
Plop Star is a small discreet tablet that can be used before using the toilet to prevent any odor and smell. Jay came up with the idea of Plop Star when he was looking for a portable and discreet solution that hid all the evidence of the dirty work done in public toilets. He was so ashamed of his body’s waste smell and looked for a solution that could save him from public embarrassment.
Jay spent more than 3 years working on the ingredients and formulating a portable tablet that can be dropped in the toilet beforehand and work like a charm in 10 seconds and save you from the pungent and unpleasant smell.

When Plop Star appeared in the Shark Tank season 11 episode 4, all the sharks were amazed with the product idea. A small tablet that can save you smell and make your popping experience better. Jay explains the workings of the product and how it creates a layer of essential oils, traps all the excretion smell, and releases a fresh fragrance in less than 10 seconds.
He asked $150,000 against 10% equity in Plop Star. Jay further explained about the past lifetime sales of $12,000. All the judges straight went out after listening about the sales. The valuation of the Plop Star raises a question in the Sharks’ mind.
Lori likes the product as she already worked with bathroom-based products, but Greiner told her about the competitive market and she said no. Rohan advised Plop Star for the B2B model but Jay had no plan for that. Mark immediately said out. Barbara & Kevin left the deal because of the high valuation and Plop Star left the stage without any deal.

Like all the products that appeared on Shar Tank, though Plop Star didn’t secure a deal after the episode aired their initial sales increased. They sold Plop Star on Amazon and their website but after some time the sale decreased and raised a question about the product.
Later, Jay released a commercial explaining the benefits of the product gives a push to the sale but not success. After some years the company changed its model and started selling business-to-business at a wholesale price.
As of 2023, Plop Star is unavailable on Amazon and their website but at the end of the year, they refill all the products and give a huge New Year discount. Despite the long gap, Plop Star is still in business and added a new line of products with new fragrances.
Is Plop Star Bathroom Deodorizer Still In Business?
Jay is still the CEO of Plop Star and the company is selling its product. Since the fragrance launch, no new product has been added to Plop Star.
Moreover, Tyler Jay is also managing Tandem Inc. a marketing and production company. Plop Star life lifetime revenue is approximately $1.2 million.
